Comparing the Thule Helium Aero 2 and Thule Vertex 2 on 2006 Nissan Murano
Question:
I have a Draw Tite class 3 hitch on my 2006 Nissan Murano. I am considering the Thule Helium Aero 2 and Vertex 2. Which of these bike racks will work best with my vehicle and hitch? Is there another 2-bike rack that will work better with my vehicle and hitch? Thanks!

The trailer hitch receiver on your 2006 Nissan Murano is about 7 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the outer edge of the bumper.
Both the discontinued Thule Vertex 2 Bike Rack and the Thule Helium Aero 2 Bike Rack # TH9042PRO will fit and work well on your vehicle. My recommendation is the Helium Aero # TH9042PRO because it not only comes with the both the bike and hitch lock needed but also is lightweight at 18.25 lbs, has road dampening cradles, and will better resist corrosion and rust due to the aluminum construction.
I also recommend using the # SR54FR for securing your front wheel to the frame and the Swagman Deluxe Bike Frame Adapter Bar for Women's, Children's, and Alternative Frame Bikes # 64005 to give you level transport and proper ground clearance. I've attached a video to assist.
