Question:
How to connect my brake controller on a 2000 Chevy Express 3500

The Universal Wiring Adapter for Hopkins Trailer Brake Controllers # HM47685 you asked this from will allow you to connect a wiring harness to your Hopkins brake controller (if that is what you have) to give you the wire leads to splice into your brake light switch and connect your power wire to battery and brake output wire to your 7-way. The ground can be connected to a local ground wire or can be directly connected to your body in a metal on metal location. You will then use kit # ETBC7 for the remaining wiring.
If you have the factory 7-way then you can use # 5506 to complete your wiring, but a blue wire should be run from your 7-way to the dash found near your emergency brake pedal. I've attached a video to assist.
