Question:
I like both, But I like more the Draw-TIte because is more hidden than Curt. How this height affects to the use? ventages or disadvantages?2017 Kia Sorento thank you

Expert Reply:
The Draw-Tite # 75908 is more hidden with the recessed aspect of the hitch pin hole being 5-1/2 inches from the outermost part of the bumper. The height is 15-1/2 inches from the inside top of the receiver to the ground.
The Curt # C13195 is very similar in style and has a hitch pin hole that is 4-1/2 inches from the outermost part of the bumper so it is 1 inch closer to the outside of the bumper. The hitch does sit closer to the ground with the top inside of the receiver 13-1/2 inches from the ground.
So the advantage of the Curt is that some accessories may fit better because they have a shorter shank and can reach the hitch pin hole easier without making contact with the bumper. The advantage to the Draw-Tite hitch is that it is more hidden and gives more ground clearance. The disadvantages are the opposites for each.
My recommendation is the Draw-Tite Hitch Receiver because it gives you more ground clearance and does not require a stabilization strap like Curt does with their # 18050 for non-trailer loads like bike racks and cargo carriers. This is also where height becomes more of an issue. When using bike racks and cargo carriers, the height over the distance of the carrier may mean the difference of scraping the ground or not in some situations.
If you will be towing with this hitch, I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118583 for your trailer connection. This will draw power from your battery and connect to your factory wiring behind your tail lights.
For a ball mount, I recommend etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag. I've attached an article to help with best fit for each trailer application.
Let me know if you have further questions.
