Hi, What is the benefit in the CURT 45112 being 1" longer than the CURT 45110? Or if necessary, what is the advantage of the other being 1" shorter?

i see a question has been asked about the difference between the 45110 and 45112. the answer given was that the 45112 is an inch longer. now in regards to the 45112, your claimed is 9 1/4, where Curt claims its 10 inches. Curt also claims the on the 45110 is 10 inches so, would it be safe to say that the , according to you guys on the 45110 is also 9 1/4? and how precise is this measurement? Im trying to keep my ground clearance as high as possible, and every 1/4 inch i can get, ill take. Im looking for a 9 . so why does Curt claim its 10, if it isnt? its not like more is better in this case...
