Troubleshooting Atwood Landing Gear Box that Moves on Landing Gear Legs
Question:
Thanks for reply. Do you have a manual to show how I can take the gearbox off? Am I able to remove the the gearbox and motor when the 5th wheel is supported by the front jacks or do I need to connect the truck to the RV?

If you are seeing your Atwood gear box moving around on the shaft of your landing gear that is because one of the tabs that holds it in place has sheered off. We see this problem on occasion and the only solution is to replace the gear box.
What I would recommend is an aluminum gear box like part # LG-179015 as that tabs of it would be much harder to sheer off. I attached a picture that shows the tabs pointed out.
