Will Stromberg Carlson Bike Bunk Bike Rack Carrier Work on Airstream Trailer

Question:

The Stromberg Bunk Bike attachment. Have Airstream trailer w/ Equalizer stab/hitch. Will this attachment work? How much offset is the bend section? Need to clear the trailer window and Airstreams slant forward. Thanks.

The Stromberg Carlson Bike Bunk Trailer-Mounted Bike Rack Carrier # CC-275 referenced in your question will fit any trailer A-frame between 14 and 55 inches wide. The distance from the top of the trailer A-frame to the top of the cross tube on the carrier will be 33-1/2 inches and when the upright bars are positioned so that they curve away from your trailer, they will give you an approximate offset of 10 inches. This system is also compatible with weight distribution brackets like what you have installed. You can see in the image that I have attached that the carrier is mounted on an A-frame with weight distribution brackets already attached.

If the above dimensions will give you enough clearance for the trailer window, this will be a great option for using a bike rack on your Airstream Trailer. It features a 2 inch hitch receiver for bike racks and a weight capacity of 100 pounds. I have also attached a video demonstration on this product so you can see exactly how it installs.

Then for a bike rack, you will want to make sure you choose a rack that is rated for use behind a trailer or RV. I recommend looking at the Swagman Trailhead 4-Bike Rack # S63381.
