Curt Hitch Compared to Reese 16k Fifth Wheel Hitch Recommendation

Question:

I was looking at an Curt A16 or Q20 instead of the Reese due to cost. Would either of them be a bad choice? Way is the Reese 16 better than either Curt unit?

I personally like Reese fifth wheel hitches more than the Reese hitches. The only thing the Curt hitches really have going for them is they have higher capacities. Reason I like Reese more is that we see more Curt hitches come back with issues here and there than the Reese hitches we sell more of. The head material of the Curt hitches seems to be softer and when you combine that with the wider funnel of them they tend to get chewed up easier.

Also we get more question that deal with Curt hitches not wanting their jaw to work properly.

That's why I really like the Reese # RP30075.
