Question:
I want to replace landing gear and was wondering if I can still use existing drive motor or do I have to replace it also. Spacing on welded tabs IDinch is 15.5 inch so I think #71415K and #71488 are the ones I need for replacement as you cant get parts for the RB W anymore. Thanks,

Helpful Expert Reply:
Since your landing gear is made by RBW none of the setups we offer are going to allow you to reuse your motor.
The dimension of 15-1/2 inches between the brackets on your landing gear means nearly every landing gear set is going to fit your trailer as that is the standard dimension.
For a powered Lippert landing gear that would bolt right up we have the part # LG-1 or for the manual crank we have the part # LG-183708.

Thank you for your afvice , I have a 1997 fleetwood prowler fifth wheel 30-5x. I recently found gears for the landing legs (RBW) and installed them. I hate to admit it, but I forgot to latch the hitch resulting in the trailer falling on my truck railsas well as ruining the screw drive in the follow leg, from the impact of the leg on the ground. This all happenned when I was delivering the fifth wheel to my friend who had just bought it (what bad luck) He was fine with it, as the trailer is just gonna sit and be used as a room for guests, but I feel obligated to try and make good on my dissaster, I am not sure of the length of the legs, but was wondering if the newer screw drive kits would fit, as this might be a cheaper option. I know that finding a random follow leg would be ideal;, but probably like finding a nedle in a haystack, If you have any ideas or references as to a possible solution, I am open to suggestions. Thanks, Earl Penny
