Im looking at your wiring harness for 2009 hyundai santa fe, # 118415 and 118258, it seems that the 118258 is much simpler to install, everything done from underneath and not requiring removing interior panels,etc. why would I order 118258 if its a harder install? Also the placement of the blk box on the 118258 is underneath, will it be safe from the elements there

My preference between the two wiring harnesses for the 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe would definitely be to go with the Tow Ready # 118258, if the vehicle has a factory towing package. The other wiring harness, part # 118415, is for models that do not have the tow package.
The Tow Ready wiring harness keeps as much of the harness and connections inside the vehicle as possible, keeping the 4-Way trailer connector and wiring safe and dry when not in use.
