Question:
I have a 2015 Dutchman V3605 trailer and am very interested in converting to the Kodiak disk brakes. The axles are Lippert 7,000 lb. and the brakes are 12x2, 8 lug with a 5 bolt mounting to the axle. Can you provide me with the correct part numbers for the brake kits and the hydraulic actuator. Thank you. I am a long-time customer and have always been very happy with your customer service!

To convert your electric drum brakes to electric over hydraulic disc brakes, you will need disc brake assemblies, a brake line kit and an electric over hydraulic actuator.
The disc brake kit I recommend with an 8 on 6-1/2 inch bolt pattern and fit on your 7,000-lb axles I recommend part # K2HR712E. This kit has an e-coat finish to help prevent corrosion. This kit comes with 2 hub/rotor assemblies, to convert 1 trailer axle. If you are using brakes on both axles you will need 2 kits. These kits come with the races but the bearings and seal are sold separately. You will need part # 25580 for the inner bearings, part # 14125A for the outer bearings, and part # RG06-070 for the grease seals. The bearings, races, and seal can be purchased as a kit, part # BK3-200.
The actuator I recommend is the Hydrastar EOH Actuator for Disc Brakes, part # HBA16. The maximum output pressure for this actuator is 1600 psi. I have attached a link to a review video of this EOH actuator you can check out.
I have attached a link to our product page for the brake line kits we have available. For the correct kit you will want to measure the distance from your actuator to the front axle. The kits are measured in the distance from the actuator to the front axle. For a 20-ft brake line kit I recommend part # 20TA-BLKIT. If you need a 25-ft kit order part # HS496-252. You can take a look at the attached link of the brake line kits we have available.
If you do not have a breakaway kit installed I recommend a kit like part # 20099. The # HBA16 is compatible with any standard breakaway kit. I have attached a link to the breakaway kits we offer as well.
If you do not have a brake controller I recommend the Prodigy P2, part # 90885. This our most popular brake controller because it is easy to install and operate.
