Question:
ok hi, i have an alpenlite 5th wheel and i need to get tires on it... on the plate attached to the front by the manufacture, it calls for st/235 80 r16lre and yet the GVWR is 15,500 lbs... even if i have 2000lbs on the tongue that brings it to 13500 when fully loaded.... now what i have been finding, is that i cant find a tire that will carry the full capacity of the 5th wheel at 3,100 lb capacity per tire, even if i put those tires on then i would be at the maximum capacity for the tires.... what am i supposed to do, so that i have plenty of tire for the weight that i am pulling? we are going full time RVing, so this is becoming our home and dont need to have blow outs... we pulled it 1200 miles and had 2 on the same side and the 2nd one did some damage.... we want to avoid this from happening again... thanks

Sounds like you are looking for a tire and wheel combination, for this I recommend the Castle Rock # LHACK133. If you are looking for just the tire I recommend the Taskmaster # TTWTRTM2358016E.
A quantity of 4 of these at max 80psi will give you a combined weight capacity of 14,080lbs, that's 3,520 per tire. These are radial tires with automotive-grade tread that has a 10-ply rating. This tire and wheel combo has a 8 on 6-1/2 bolt pattern and a max speed of 81 mph.
If you happen to have a 6 on 5-1/2 bolt pattern instead of the 8 on 6-1/2, I recommend the # TA59VR
tire and wheel combination. It will have the same great weight capacity and radial tire, but it comes with the different wheel bolt pattern. You will want to check what you have on your Alpenlite, I have linked an article to help with identifying this.
I have linked the above-mentioned products to this page for your convenience.
