Roof Rack and Kayak Carrier Recommendation for Rockwood Hard Side Pop Up

Question:

We are looking for a rack that will carry a kayak on the top of a Rockwood Hard Side Pup-up camper. This is not your traditional tent pop-up. It has hard sides and when the roof is up it is an A-frame. The roof does not have a track on it.

I pulled up pictures of your Rockwood Hard Side Pop-up camper and when the camper is in the down position you could have a roof rack like the Swagman Roamer LT Roof Rack for Pop-Up Campers and Camper Shells # S80510 installed on it as it more or less has a standard pop up roof when down.

Only real difference is that when it is up it has an A shape.

To carry the kayaks on this roof rack I recommend the Malone Deluxe Foam Block Kayak Carriers, part # MPG152. These foam blocks fit over the crossbars and are right at 18 inches long. They have tie-downs included.

i have a Flagstaff HW high side popup camper and want to install bike rack that can be also used for kayaks, what do you recommend

If you have a flat section of roof then you'll use the Swagman Roamer LT Roof Rack # S80510 that Jameson mentioned. For a roof that has the grooved edge then you need the SportRack # SR1020 instead. I've never heard of a bike rack that can also be used for kayaks so for your application you'll need a carrier for each bike like the Yakima FrontLoader # Y02103 and a kayak carrier like the etrailer # e98878 for each boat.
