Resetting Breakaway Switch on Trailer to Allow Brakes to Release

the pin got pulled out of the switch and the wheels are locked so how do you unlock the wheels and reset the switch?

Expert Reply:
Pushing the pin back into the breakaway switch should allow the brakes of the trailer to release. You may have to back the trailer up slightly to get the brakes to release.
If you have tried that and are still having problems you may need to replace the switch with something like the part # 3802348.

The pin pulled out of the switch. Do I need to have 12V power on to re insert pin? Am unable to insert pin...do I need power or need to back up trailer to reset?
