Where is the plug in on 2006 chevy silverado 1500 with tow package?

On your 2006 Chevy Silverado 1500 there is a black junction box at the back of the floorboards and to the left of the brake pedal. If you take that cover the brake controller plugs into the top row, second spot from the left. It will be the same as in the video I have linked.
For a brake controller I recommend the P2 # 90885 because it is easy to set up and use and it is reliable. And you will also need harness # 3015-P.
There may be some additional connections that will need to be made under the hood to make everything fully functional. I have included a link to our help article that will help.
