Electric Over Hydraulic Disc Brake System for 1997 Eagle Triple Axle Boat Trailer

Question:

***1997 Eagle TRIPLE axle surge DRUM *** 3500# axles with LEAF springs ***Goal...convert to EOH DISC system. What is the most cost effective way to do this? I would like something like your kit # T4843800 but with Plug N Play actuator, and designed for triple axle. Please advise! Thanks

Our suppliers don't offer a triple axle disc brake kit, but the next best cost effective option would be to use an existing kit and add to it. Assuming your current hubs use a # L68149 inner bearing, # L44649 outer bearing and a 10-19 seal, part # RG06-050 and a 5 lug on a 4-1/2 inch bolt circle, I'd recommend the following parts.

I'd recommend beginning with the Titan Disc Brake Kit and BrakeRite II SD Electric-Hydraulic Actuator, part # T4843700, which includes the plug and play EOH actuator you were interested in. For the third axle, you'd add a single axle kit, part # T2HRCM10DAC. The single axle kit includes rotors, calipers, brackets, races and bolts but doesn't include the lines, bearings, grease seal or bearing protectors, so they'd need to be added using the following parts:

Third axle line kit, # 9579-01
Inner Bearing # L68149 (order quantity of 2)
Outer Bearing # L44649 (order quantity of 2)
10-19 Grease Seal # RG06-050 (includes 2 seals)
Bearing protector kit # KREB1980AC (includes 2 bearing protectors)

I've linked to some help articles about braking systems that you might find helpful.
