Using a HydraStar Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator with a Silverado 1500's OEM Brake Controller

Question:
I would like to convert the hydraulic brakes on my boat trailer to he3 Hydrastar electric over hydraulic brakes. I drive a 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 High Country, it has a onboard trailer brake controller. Do I need the can-bus adapter for this to work?

To use a HydraStar electric over hydraulic actuator with your 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500's OEM brake controller, you will in fact need to use the control adapter module (CAM).
We have that included with the HydraStar Vented Marine Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator for Disc Brakes. the part number being # HS481-8067. This is a plug-and-play setup that is easy to install.
