Can 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Wiring Harness be Installed on GMC Canyon with Factory 7-Way
Question:
Will a 5th wheel/gooseneck 7-pole in-line wiring harness for a 2018 2500 Sierra, also work for a 2018 canyon with factory 7 pole trailer wiring? I realize gooseneck hitches are not available for the canyon, but I am having my local welder fabricate frame mounts for it to work. Just need the wiring! Thanks

A 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Wiring Harness that is confirmed to fit the 2018 GMC Sierra, such as the Bargman # 50-97-410, will indeed also work on your 2018 GMC Canyon as long as it is equipped with the factory 7-Way connector. This harness will simply plug in between the OEM harness on the truck and the factory 7-Way, retaining the use of the original 7-Way while also providing a connector in the bed of your truck.
