Do All 2015 Ram 1500 Trucks Have Brake Controller Install Port and Where Is It Located
Question:
How can I be sure my 2015 Ram 1500 has the prewired plug from the factory that this harness plugs into? The truck came from the factory with the tow package, but not the factory brake controller. As long as the truck came with the tow package the receiver hitch and plugs next to the license plate, then it should have the plug under the dash the harness plugs into? Thank you

Your 2015 Ram 1500 will have the needed connector under the dash to plug the # 3024-P into. You can check for the harness though if you want to be sure, but I can guarantee it is there.
The harness will be located underneath the dash and right of the steering column, taped to another harness. There will be a 4-pin connector that mates with the one on the adapter. I attached a picture of what it looks like.
The brake controller I recommend you use with the adapter you referenced is the Prodigy P3 # 90195 which is a proportional controller that can sense the amount of braking your are applying with your vehicle brakes and will apply the same pressure to the trailer brakes.
