Pilot Brake Controller Not Working with 2007 Chevy Silverado New Body Style

Question:

Have had a Reese pilot brake controller in my 07 Silverado new body style sine 2011 brake control not working with pedal but works on manual slide. Found broken light blue wire and reattached to red wire with but connector but brakes still not functioning with pedal. Any suggestions?

When that light blue wire/red wire attachment was broken it may have caused the stop light fuse to blow. Use the owner's manual to locate the stop light fuse or any fuse related to the brake controller or tow package wiring to see if that is the problem.

If the problem persists, then something likely is damaged inside the controller and it will need to be replaced. But before doing that make sure that light blue wire still has power with the brake pedal by using a circuit tester such as # PTW2993 Otherwise the new controller will not work.

For a new brake controller, I recommend the P2 # 90885 because it is easy to set up and use and it is reliable.
