No problems whatsoever. Easy install

Heavy Duty, Easy Install. This hitch seems like it is made very well. When I opened the box, it smelled like it just came out of the powder coater. I havent really used it, as I just mounted it this afternoon. I ordered this hitch for my 2007 Dodge Caliber because of the 2 extra bolts it uses to mount. All of the other hitches I have seen only use 4 bolts, this one has 6. In the product desciption it says it should take about 40 minutes to install and does not require drilling. It took me about an hour, and I did have to drill. I did not have to drill any new holes, only enlarge 2 of the existing ones. The holes in the frame of my car were only about 1/4" and needed to be opened up to 1/2". Other than that, everything looks and feels great. Once everything was all torqued down the hitch feels like it is welded in place.

I have ordered two hitches and wiring harnesses over the past year for my cars. I wanted to pull a small trailer or mount a bike rack quickly. Both orders arrived quickly, all parts were present and assembly was flawless. I will recommend etrailer to my friends.

Great product fast shipping, it bolted right up, I had it installed within minutes I will definitely be buying for hitches for my other vehicles. Waiting for my wiring harnass but am absolutely looking forward to installing it too. Highly Recommend.

by:

easy install. works great though had to add a piece of rubber t the hitch as the hitch would contact the muffler when driving on a bumpy road

by:

Fit good on the car but had to drill my own holes in the frame for 2 of the bolts. Fish wire broke on the first bolt so had to improvise but other than that it works good. For my 2010 2.0 just fine.

hitch was dropped off at 3:30 pm from ups and at 4:05 pm the hitch was installed on my dodge caliber. everything bolted it
nice. installed by myself in my garage.

Excellent quality product. Did require drilling of 2 holes on my '07 Dodge Caliber R/T AWD, but other than that it fit perfectly.

by:

After a year it's solid as the day I installed. Would without hesitation buy another.

by:

Was good , But I had to drill to make it fit, besides that it went well

Excellent and fast service. :)

  • Receiver Hitch, Wiring and Other Necessary Towing Accessories for 2007 Dodge Caliber
In order to tow a trailer, you will need a hitch, a draw bar and pin and clip, a trailer ball and a vehicle wiring harness. I would recommend the Draw-Tite Class I receiver, part # 24769. This receiver fits all Caliber Models EXCEPT for the R/T model. This hitch includes the pin and clip. If you have the R/T model, Curt Manufacturing offers a Class I receiver, part # C11006 that will fit all models except for the SRT-4. The draw bar and pin and clip are also included. The trailer rental...

  • What Trailer Hitch Is Available For A 2007 Dodge Caliber R/T
We offer two hitches for a 2007 Dodge Caliber, as long as it is not an SRT-4 model. Anytime you are going to be installing a hitch to your 2007 Dodge Caliber R/T for towing purposes, you will need to check your owners manual for the vehicles maximum towing capacity. You will want to make sure that your vehicle will be able to handle the capacities of the hitch you will be installing. The Curt Class I 1-1/4 Inch Hitch, part # C11006, will fit a 2007 Dodge Caliber R/T. It has a maximum...

  • Will Curt Class I 1-1/4 Inch Hitch # C11006 Fit a 2007 Dodge Caliber R/T AWD Model
I spoke with my contacts at both Draw-Tite and Curt, who both confirm that their Class I receiver hitches # 24769 and C11006 will fit the 2007 Dodge Caliber R/T AWD model as long as it is not an SRT-4 model. Although both hitches look very similar and have the same weight bearing capabilities, I would recommend the Curt model due to its additional mounting points. In my opinion, the two additional mounting locations would make for a stronger installation. I will provide links to the installation...

  • Which Trailer Hitches Will Fit a 2008 Dodge Caliber R/T
The good news is we have a hitch that will fit a 2008 Dodge Caliber R/T. The Curt Trailer Hitch, # C11006. This is a Class I hitch, 1-1/4 receiver opening, 200 pounds tongue weight capacity, 2,000 pounds gross trailer weight. I have included a link to the installation instructions below. The Draw-Tite trailer hitch has some subtle differences in terms of where it mounts and how it is designed which is why it will not fit the R/T model.

  • Which Ball Mount Should be Used with Curt Hitch that Fits 2011 Dodge Caliber
Curt actually recommends a longer ball mount # C45016 with the hitch part # C11006 as it is a bit longer like you mentioned and has been confirmed to be the right rise/drop and the correct length. For hitch balls the part # A-82 would be what you'd need for a 2 inch ball or part # A-80 for a 1-7/8 inch ball. For trailer wiring then we have the part # HM11142175 which is an easy fit.

  • Recommendations for Carrying a Dirt Bike with a 2007 Dodge Caliber R/T AWD
The only trailer hitches available for a 2007 Dodge Caliber are Class I trailer hitches that have a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening. They also have a 200 pound tongue weight capacity which is not going to be high enough to support the weight of the bike and carrier. A higher capacity hitch is not available because the vehicle cannot support the weight. Make sure to consult the vehicle owners manual in the towing section to determine the towing capacities of your Caliber. What I recommend...

  • How to Tow a Motorcycle with a 2008 Dodge Caliber
According to owner's manual for your 2008 Dodge Caliber the gross trailer (GTW) and tongue weight (TW) rating of your vehicle with the 2.0L I4 engine is 1,000 lbs and 150 lbs respectively. Therefore, I cannot recommend you use this vehicle to haul your motorcycle (206 lbs) and carrier (36 lbs) as this would exceed the tongue weight capacity of the vehicle. The only way I can offer you to haul your motorcycle is on the back of a trailer. In order to use this trailer you would need a trailer...
