Magnetic LED Tow Lights

A towed vehicle is required by law to have functional brake and signal lights that illuminate at the same time as the brake and signal lights on the motorhome or RV that is towing it. These removable tow lights make it easy to add running lights, brake lights, and turn signals to your towed car or trailer.

Simply mount the lights on your vehicle's trunk or roof with the heavy-duty magnetic bases. A 63" long section of wiring connects the tow lights, giving you enough slack to position the lights where you want them. Then run the 245" long wiring harness up to the front of your towed vehicle and across your tow bar and connect it to the 4-way flat on your RV.

If your RV doesn't have a trailer connector, then you can wire the extra 35" long 4-way harness that comes with this kit to your RV. And if your RV has a 6-way or 7-way trailer connector, an adapter (sold separately) will be required to connect the tow lights to your RV.

Sonically Sealed, Waterproof Trailer Light

The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The housing and lens are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diodes or circuit board.

The wiring length should be increased by at least five feet. We have a small vehicle and still needed to use an extension. Otherwise it is a terrific solution.

Have not used yet but I think it will be great

by:

Bought these magnetic trailer lights for my hitch-mounted e-bike rack. With two bikes on the rack, the rear car lights are partly obscured. These lights attach firmly to the rack with the magnets but I will secure them with straps as the rack surface is rounded. Plenty bright. Haven’t gone any distance yet, but I will drive reassured that the cars behind will better see my braking and turning.

These work fine and are bright. I plant them behind my toad's roof rack and add a little duck tape for security. I have lost other ones before. It may be overkill on these as magnet is good.

I've seen magnetic tow lights before but not like these LED's. As soon as they arrived I opened them up, checked them out and they are very well built, the magnets seem very firm and they are BRIGHT. The video on the ETrailer site does no represent how bright these light are in my opinion. Very pleased with the quality and how visible these lights are.

  • Recommended Parts to Flat Tow 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe Behind Class C Sunseeker Motorhome
I am happy to recommend the items you'll need to safely flat tow your 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe with 2.4L engine and manual transmission behind your 2010 Sunseeker Class C motorhome. If you have a different version of the car that cannot be flat towed you might instead be able to use a tow dolly. First you'll need base plates on the car. The Blue Ox kit # BX2719 is currently the only one available that will fit. With it you can use their reliable Nighthawk tow bar # RM-677 that stores on...

  • Need Replacement Parts for Roadmaster Even Brake 9400 Supplementary Braking System # RM-9400
Flat-towing a vehicle behind a motor home requires several components. Those are a motor home-mount tow bar, a compatible vehicle base plate kit, safety cables, tow bar wiring (to operate the tail lights on the toad) and the supplementary braking system, such as the Roadmaster Even Brake 9400 that you have. The linked article covers each of these in detail. The Roadmaster Second Vehicle Kit you reference, part # RM-98400, includes a complete breakaway kit (wiring harness, cable and switch),...

I spoke with my contact at Blue Ox and you can use your Acclaim Tow Bar, # BX4330, with Base Plate Kit, # BX1118, for your 2002 Jeep Wrangler. In addition to the base plates and tow bar, you may still need a lighting solution and in most states, a supplemental braking system. I am including a couple recommendations for you. Optronics Magnetic Tow Lights, # TLL21RK, which provide the emergency flashers and signal lights required for towing without having to tap into existing wiring. Blue...

  • Parts Needed to Flat Tow 2010 Hyundai Elantra with 38-ft Motor Home
Flat towing a car behind a motor home requires 5 basic items and each one is detailed in the linked article. Let's start with base plates for your Elantra. The correct one for you depends on which version you have. You can use the linked page to see all base plate fits for the 2010 Hyundai Elantra; just select the version you have using the drop-down menu tool. If you have the sedan use # BX2325; if you have the Touring Hatchback use # BX2328. For a tow bar I recommend the Blue Ox Alpha,...

  • Parts Needed to Flat Tow a 2004 Saturn Vue Behind a Motorhome
Flat towing a vehicle requires several components: base plates for the toad, a tow bar, safety cables, a lighting/wiring solution and a supplementary braking system, which is a legal requirement in most states. We can help you with all of these items. A good first step is a review of your vehicle owner's manual for any guidance regarding flat towing the Vue. The next step I suggest is a review of the linked article on flat towing, which covers all of the basics. The choice of base plates...

To set up a second vehicle for flat towing behind your MH you will need to get vehicle-specific base plates and possibly also a lighting solution, depending on what you're using. I have a suggestion for you, but unfortunately, we're not going to have a hitch mounted bike rack for electric bikes that's going to fit into your budget. Most of our e-bike racks max out at 60 lbs per bike, so your least expensive options are going to be either the Swagman E-Spec # S94FR, with a capacity of 70 lbs per bike, or the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE # HLY74FR, with a capacity of 80 lbs per bike -- both over budget.
