This air mattress sleeps 2 adults comfortably in your compact truck bed. It has cutouts on each side that let the mattress fit over your truck's wheel wells so that it fills your entire truck bed. It is constructed of puncture-resistant polyester fabric and its integrated comfort coil system distributes the weight of 2 people evenly so you will not roll into the other person while sleeping. It has a built-in, battery powered air pump that inflates and deflates the mattress in minutes. It also comes with a tailgate mattress to extend the length of your sleeping area.
Heavy-Duty, Polyester Construction
The mattress is constructed of heavy-duty, puncture-resistant polyester fabric. The tightly bonded seams resist air leakage so the mattress will not deflate overnight. There is a patch kit included because accidents can happen.
It also has an inner coil system that distributes the weight of 2 people evenly across the mattress. This will prevent you from rolling off the mattress or rolling into the other person while sleeping.
Tailgate Extension Mattress
This AirBedz mattress includes a tailgate extension mattress to extend your sleeping surface. The extension connects to the main mattress with hook-and-loop fasteners. It comes with a hand pump to inflate the mattress.
Wheel Well Cutouts
The mattress has cutouts on each side that fit over the wheel wells in your truck bed. This allows you to utilize the entire truck bed as a sleeping area.
You can add inflatable wheel well inserts (sold separately) to fill the cutouts for an even sleeping surface. This lets you use the AirBedz as a standard air mattress in your tent or at home.
Built-In, Battery-Powered Pump
The AirBedz has a built-in, battery-powered pump that lets you inflate and deflate the mattress in minutes by simply turning a dial. When the mattress has reached your desired level of inflation, turn the dial back to the off position. It also has a standard two-stage air valve in case the built-in pump's battery runs out of power. This will require the use of a portable air pump - sold separately.
The air pump's removable NIMH battery pack comes with an included charger that plugs into your home AC outlet. Be sure to charge it up before you hit the road.
Bag for Travel and Storage
When you are done with the mattress, simply deflate it, fold it up, and place it in the included storage bag. It has built-in handle straps that make the bag easy to carry.

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Airbedz Truck Bed Air Mattress. It's available to fit your five foot to five and a half foot bed, and your five and half foot to 5.8 foot bed in either blue or camouflage. See etrailer.com for your specific fit and color.When it comes to camping, one of the biggest mistakes is not bringing the right sleeping gear. The Airbedz Air Mattress is your simple solution. It's a great alternative to sleeping in a sleeping bag on the ground in a tent. It's gonna work with your compact short-bed trucks.
It's designed to fit over and around the contours of your wheel well, taking advantage of the entire truck bed.It's going to be a great addition to your truck if you have a campers shell or a truck bed tent. Note that if you have a tunnel cover it will work, but you will have limited space. Since our truck does have that short bed, Airbedz includes this extension over the tailgate making up for that length. Providing us with more comfort and more leg room. It just connects with two anchor points here and here at the main mattress.
It is recommended when connecting and disconnecting that you have it deflated.What sets this air mattress apart from other air mattresses is its on board electric pump. It allows you to inflate and deflate on the fly. It operates on an included rechargeable battery. Everything is located here at the rear for easy access. The charger is included.
If you do however forget the charger battery, there is a separate valve to put air into and the pump is included. Now the nice thing about the pump is, it's double action. So as you draw it out it pushes air, and as you push it in it pushes air. So you can pump it up twice as fast.This is also a good time to mention that the tailgate extension has to be pumped up separately than the main mattress. It does not have an on board electric pump.
So you can either use the hand pump or a separate electric pump, which is sold separately.Another great feature is its integrated air quill system. This allows it to simulate a spring mattress rather than an air filled one. Even redistributing the weight between two people. Here we have a cut away of one of the Airbedz, you can see the integrated air quills here. What these are going to do is help compress that air pressure when it's filled with air. And when you're on it with your weight, it won't shift it all to one side.The whole thing is made out of a heavy duty, polyester, puncture resistant fabric. This isn't some cheap plastic pool toy construction. This is going to hold up for a long time. When comparing this to a regular air mattress, you can see how the Airbedz air mattress gives you more coverage. We've got about eight to ten inches on each side and at the back. On a plus side to having a smaller mattress, it does fit right between our wheel well, giving us four pockets to store our boots or any other gear we might have with us.In my opinion, I still would like the Airbedz because I could always put those boots or any other gear in my truck. Now if you'd like to use your Airbedz mattress in a standard tent or at home, you could pick up these wheel well inserts. Sold separately. They simply connect with hook in and fasteners, converting it into a regular ait mattress, giving you the support you need.When you're all done the mattress deflates quickly. You simply turn it to the deflate option and let it go. You will however have to deflate your tailgate extension manually. Then we can turn it off and fold it. When it's all folded, we can take our included bag and bag it up. The nice thing about this bag it is has an extra long zipper, we can literally just take the bag, put it over our mattress, flip it over, and zip it up.When you're ready to set up, just unfold it in your truck bed. Then we can turn our knob to the inflate option. Now the nice thing about this electric pump is, it won't over inflate our air mattress. It will automatically stop being air in, we will still have to shut it off.For the tailgate extension, you will want to make sure to anchor it fit. It makes it way easier. We'll fit it in and then lock it into position. You'll want to do this for both sides. Now we can air it up. Plug it into the valve. Once you've got it inflated, you can then disconnect, plug it up, and then push it in. And we're all set.And that's going to complete our look at the Airbedz Air Bed Truck Mattress.

I actually used the tail gate mattress as a back rest on the tool box for drive in movies. I'm sure it would work perfect without having a tool box as well. Absolutely amazing product. 110% money well spent.

2018 Nissan Titan
The fit for my 2019 Titan 5.5 foot short box was perfect. Haven't yet used it overnight. I like the self-contained pump. Charge time to fill from dead battery was abut ten minutes. The tailgate mattress took a couple minutes to fill using included dual action pump. It was not taxing. The carry bag was big enough to easily contain both mattresses and hand pump. Only remaining question is durability. The materials appear sturdy. Time will tell. etrailer customer service was great and shipping was super quick.

2017 Toyota Tundra
Bought this for my 2017 Tundra CrewMax. Fits perfectly, holds air and is as comfortable as an air mattress can be. Also, the material lining keeps the noise to a minimum. With the addition of the tailgate extension, this is well worth the money.

The air mattress performed as well as can be expected.It fit the truck bed with no gaps on the sides. The built in pump was fast in fully inflating it. Also made adjustments to the firmness so easy. It was really nice how the pump also deflates the mattress so quickly and easily. The material of the mattress is pretty durable. We have a large dog and were not concerned at all about his nails puncturing it. Plus I like how it is not real slippery so your sheets or sleeping bag is not always sliding off. I would highly recommend this product.

I love my truck bed air mattress! I have had it for a year now and use it all the time for camping in my 2021 Toyota Tacoma short bed pickup truck. It is so easy to setup, inflate/deflate, and pack. When setup, it fits perfectly in my truck bed and over the wheel wells, corner to corner.

Couple things with this, the tailgate extension piece doesn’t securely attache really at all. It’s these rubber pops/snaps that secure in opposite directions so if you secure one you pull the other out. Kinda ridiculous. Also the extension piece is its own separate inflatable unit that is not inflatable via the built in unit of the main mattress piece. It comes with a [cheap] pump that doesn’t work really at all. You can use about any air mattress inflator though and we picked up a 12v DC unit and do it at the same time the mattress is going.
That being said, the main mattress really is great. Inflator works perfect. It’s comfortable. We used a Rightline bed tent so even though the tailgate extension doesn’t secure, the tent holds it in place nicely. If you use it at a time of year where the temperature varies a lot, inflate it so it’s more rigid when you go to bed so that it is still sufficient by the time the cooler morning rolls around
Ultimately I would highly recommend this. Made camping really easy and nice for the wife who was a little afraid of tent camping in bear country.

Had to use one of these back in 2012 when I had to move to Idaho from Alaska. Drove all the way down and camped on the way. This thing along with the truck tent that I used did the job just fine. And the integrated pump goes a long way to cutting down the time spent setting up and tearing down. It get's my seal of approval.

All of our camping for the 2022 season was done from our truck. No tent. The AirBedz mattress made it possible. We slept well and always rested. The mattress is easy to inflate/deflate. Fits perfectly. Holds air through the night. No worries. The tailgate mattress can be a bit tricky to attach to the main mattress.

The bed fit my 2016 Ram 1500 great and is comfortable to sleep on. Much better than having to sleep diagonal. I am 6ft tall and weigh 245.
The battery for the built in inflator has never worked, even with charging before first use. I had to use a different inflator. Many reviews on the web complain about the same thing, even with the replacements.
I didn't try to get a replacement even with etrailer's great customer service. I am going to try and find a custom solution.
