Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com and today we're gonna take a real quick look at this TorkLift Finishing Kit for your camper tie-downs. Now, this finishing kit is going to give you protection for your camper tie-down system when it is not in use. These vinyl caps are going to cover your front receivers to keep out dirt and grime, and these foam plugs are going to insert into the rear of your brackets to keep out dirt and grime. So let me go ahead and just give you some brief measurements here so you have an idea of the size of them. So looking at the length, or the width rather, both of those measurements are gonna be the same.
This is two inches by two inches, and then the depth we're sitting right about an inch and a half. So those are on the vinyl caps. And on our foam plugs, as you can see we're sitting right about an inch and three quarters by an inch and three quarters. And then the overall depth, we're sitting at about an inch and a half. So these are going to be a very fast and easy installation.
You're just going to remove your tie-down inserts and place these vinyl caps over your receivers and then insert these plugs into the back of your tie-down receiver openings. If you can't, for whatever reason, fit these into the back of your receivers, whether it's because it's just inaccessible or it might be a little bit closed off, you can just insert the foam plugs through the front of the receiver and use an insert to push this all the way to the rear or the back of your receiver bracket opening. So this kit includes everything that you see here. You're going to receive four receiver caps and four backing plugs along with a set of instructions to just go over the really simple and brief installation process. These are made here in the USA.

Will keep the dirt out of the receiving sleeves for easier mounting of the the couplings.
They work like a champ, and seem to hold my camper just right. My only reservation is they are not quite as convenient as my old tie downs. The new Chevy box, with the built in steps preclude using my old style, permanently attached tie downs. Big disappointment with Chevrolet, not torklift. Chevy also made removing tailgate and elect. connections much more difficult. So much for their "camper" package!
My recent purchase of Torklift front tie-downs to go along with rear Torklift tie-downs and turnbuckles makes my camper-truck connection complete. It is a quality system and will give me complete piece of mind on the road. Product is engineered for all road conditions and the tie down cover finishing kit is icing on the cake. The best part is Made in the USA.....
The idea is great, they give a nice finished look to the brackets....but dirt finds its way in other places and these covers actually hold the dirt behind them in the tie down brackets. I am up in the air as to whether these are a good thing or not.

There's no doubt this is a great product to go along with the tie downs. However, I would have preferred to have them included with the tie downs.
They look nice and fit tight. I also sprayed the tubes with silicone after inserting the rear plugs to eliminate the possibility of water infiltration and corrosion.
