From the back of the upright bar to the front of the bike rack on the Reese Eclipse Bike Hitch Mounted Folding Rack, item # 63124, the distance is 26 inches. This makes the total length from the center of the hitch pin hole 34 inches when installed on the vehicle. This bike rack will work with many styles of kids bikes but you may require an adapter like the Swagman Easy-Out Women and Alternative Frame Bike Adapter, item # 64005, to adapt some child or women bike frames.
