Does Factory Installed Transmission Cooler on 2011 Suzuki Equator Mean I Have Tow Package w/ Wiring
Published 12/04/2014 >
Question:
I have a 2011 suzuki equator nissan frontier, how do I know if the tow package is installed for towing lights? Do I need the relay package or just the adapter? I do have a factory installed transmission cooler, does this mean I have the tow package? thanks!

Expert Reply:
If your 2011 Suzuki Equator is equipped with the tow package, you should have a 4-way or 7-way connector at the back of the vehicle. Having the factory installed transmission cooler doesn't always guarantee that your vehicle is equipped with the tow package.
If your Equator does not have a connector, most likely there is a black and a grey plug that is mounted on the driver's side frame rail back by the rear bumper and you will need to install a wiring harness. You will need the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness, # C56225, for a 4-way connector or the Tow Ready, # 118266, for a 7-way connector.
Just connect the wiring harness to the plug on the frame rail and connect the jumper harness to the plug behind the kick panel on the passenger side floor board.
