Adapt a Thule Evolution Cargo Box to Fit Whispbar Crossbars

I have a thule evolution cargo box, and Yakima Whisbar cross bars. The mounting U-bolts for the box are 3.25inch wide and the bar is 3.5inch wide. Is there a way to mount the box? Wider U-bolt kit?

If you are willing to make modifications to your Evolution cargo box, you could use the Quick Grip mounts, # TH05738. You would also need the proper cradles, # TH8523387001. There is no kit available to retro fit older boxes with these mounts. It would require some at home work to modify the box to accept the mounts.
The Quick Grip assemblies can accommodate up to a 3-1/2 inch wide crossbar.
