Comparison Between Thule Archway # TH9009XT and Gateway # TH9006XT For a 2011 Ford Fusion

Im trying to figure out the main difference between the Gateway and Archway. Do you know how the two compare to each other? I have a 2011 Ford Fusion with no spoiler. Thanks!

The primary difference between the Thule Archway # TH9009XT and the Thule Gateway # TH9006XT is the fact that the Archway offers upgraded Hold-Fast cradles with road dampening technology (better shock absorbing padding) and an integrated cable lock to secure the bikes to the rack, while the Gateway offers the Thule standard Hold Fast cradles and no cable lock.

I've confirmed that the two bike versions of both racks are compatible with your Fusion, but Thule doesn't recommend the 3 bike version.

If you'll be transporting women's bikes or bikes with sharply-angled top tubes, you might consider a frame adapter bar like part # 64005. The bar spans the distance between the handlebar gooseneck and the seat post, which provides a secondary attachment point for the bike rack. This allows the bike to be carried level, which maximizes ground clearance.
