Does the Curt Friction Sway Control Have to Be 24 inches from Coupler to Bracket
Published 11/07/2014 >
Question:
I dont quite have 24inch to mount the sway kit on my trailer. Really it will end up being 22inch at best. Can I still install this it should I return the kit. 21foot enclosed Snowmobile trailer with little room on the tongue.

You really want to get the distance between the coupler ball and the mounting bracket on the mounting plate to be right at 24 inches. Otherwise the warranty would be voided. The only other option I can think of would be to try the other side of the trailer frame. There might be more room there to allow for the kit to be installed.
I attached an install video for a very similar sway control kit to the right for you to check out.
