The base plates you mentioned, part # 3154-1, is designed to fit your 2008 GMC Yukon if it is not a Denali. These are removable drawbars and are virtually invisible when you are not towing your Yukon and are removed.

The Roadmaster StowMaster Car-Mounted Tow Bar, part # RM-501 would work well with the 3154-1 base plates on your Yukon. This tow bar has telescoping arms that makes it easy to hook up.

Some of the other items I recommend are safety cables, lighting for the Yukon, and most states now require a supplemental brake system.

For safety cables I recommend part # RM-643.

For lighting I recommend the Roadmaster Magnetic Tow Lights, part # RM-2120. I attached an install video so you can see how easy they are to use.

Most states now require a supplemental brake system, so I recommend part # RM-9400. This is a proportional brake system that does not require cutting or splicing into the towed vehicle.
