Taillight Converter Recommend for Converting Separate Circuit to Combined for Sequential Taillights
Published 10/28/2014 >
Question:
I make tail light conversions and I have a lot of customers who want sequential tail lights. I was told that since the taillights that I convert have two brake bulbs and one turn bulb that I need a trailer converter to make combine all the circuits. Can you help me? The bulbs use 1157 connectors.

Expert Reply:
If the taillight assembly you are trying to combine all the circuits on has a separate turn signal bulb all you would need to do is wire all of the bulbs to the same circuits and then use a signal converter like part # RM-732 to combine the taillight circuits on the vehicle/trailer.
The input side of this converter would get run to the separate circuits on the trailer/vehicle and the output side of the converter would get run to the taillights that are getting converted to being sequential.
