Should Snow Chains be Removed When Driving on Dry Pavement

Question:
do you have to keep takein g off and on when the snow falls heavy,then the trucks salt the road and the snow melts and get plowed. you leave them on all winter, or just take off and on when snows before roads are plowed?

With snow chains and cables you would want to take them off whenever they aren't needed for a couple reasons. First, they would wear out very quickly this way. Especially since they would be used on dry pavement. And secondly because with snow chains you shouldn't drive faster than 30-35 miles per hour.
