how does one install the Stromberg ladder tread on existing ladder, #8510-CP? It appears to wrap entirely around the aluminum step? Is it cut and slips over and the rung? I am also interested to know if there are any 1inch thick replacement treads. thanks

I went out to our warehouse to grab the Replacement Rubber Tread for Ladder Rung on Stromberg Carlson RV Ladders, # 8510-CP. As you can see from the picture that I have attached, the rubber tread is cut on the back and will slip over the rung just as you suggested.
As for a 1 inch thick replacement tread, the only replacement tread that we have available for the Stromberg ladders is part # 8538-T which measures 3/4 inch thick.
