Fifth Wheel Hitch and Install Rail Recommendations for a 2014 Toyota Tundra 6-1/2 ft Bed

Question:

I have a 2014 Tundra and would like to know Part number of the rail kit to use for a fifth wheel hitch? I will be buying a curt slider or a reese slider, not sure yet, so are they the same rail kit for either hitch? Thanks,

For your 2014 Toyota Tundra with a 6-1/2 foot bed I would recommend the Curt Rail kit part # C16468-204. This is a custom install kit that will install in about half the time as a universal kit, will minimize drilling and would work with a Reese or Curt hitch like you are interested in.

For a Curt Slider hitch I would recommend the part # C16521. This hitch has a round tube slider, a pivoting head, and a 2-jaw system that provides 360 degrees of contact between the hitch and the king pin for a smooth quiet ride.

For a Reese hitch I would recommend the Slider part # RP30075. This has all of the same features as the Curt plus it has a cushioned head that will provide an even smoother ride quality.
