Installing Top Hooks of Trunk Mounted Bike Rack on 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser

Question:
Hi, I cant fit my bike rack on my PT Cruiser. The angle on the top hooks wont fit on to the top of the hatch. Do you have converter hooks or straps that would work, so that I can attach the bike rack that I now have? I would appreciate your advice on what I should purchase. Thanks

You didn't mention which bike rack you have, but luckily enough one of my co-workers has a PT Cruiser that he uses a trunk mounted bike rack on. He agrees that getting those top hooks in place can be a challenge, but he's found that it's easier if you insert them at the top corners of the hatch, because the gap between the hatch and the vehicle is wider at that point. Once you have them inserted, you can slide them over more toward the center of the hatch.
If this doesn't work for you, then the hatch adapters you referenced, part # Y02612 would probably work although we haven't tested them with racks other than the Yakima models they were designed for.
