Sounds like you have a 2-1/2 inch hitch on your 2014 Chevy Silverado 3500 so you need a hitch lock with a wider span. The Masterlock Hitch Lock part # 1469DAT would be a great choice for you as it has a span of 3-1/4 inches. I attached a review video for you to check out as well.
