Question:

Are there black rubber grips on both ends of the lock or just one end and the other end is chrome ?

The black rubber grip is just on the one end of trailer hitch lock # e98880. The other end has a rubber cap that covers the key hole but no rubber around the rest of the locking piece.

Master Lock hitch lock # 1479DAT is more like what you have described.
