Bumper Clearance Needed for Kuat NV22G NV Bike Rack
Updated 09/10/2014 | Published 09/06/2014 >
Question:
How far does the Kuat NV bike rack extend out the receiver past the receiver hitch pin hole? From the pictures it looks like about 10inch but one fit guide I found shows almost 18.

I believe you're asking about the clearance between the rack and the vehicle, is that correct? If so, when the rack is folded down so it can carry bikes, the closest portion of the rack is 10-1/2 inches rearward of the hitch pin hole. When the rack is folded up into its storage position, the closest portion of the rack is 7 inches rearward of the hitch pin hole.
When folded down into the bike carrying position, the rack would extend 33 inches rearward of the hitch pin hole. When folded into the storage position, the rack extends 18-1/2 inches rearward of the hitch pin hole.
I've pieced together a photo for you that shows these dimensions. If you'd like to view a product demonstration video, click the provided link.
