Yes, there are custom 5th wheel installation kits that will fit your 2006 Ford F-150 with the 5-1/2 foot bed. You can use Reese kit # RP50081-58 or # RP56006-53. The rails included with these kits will accept Curt, Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch, Husky, Reese, Pro Series, and Valley 5th-wheel hitches that fit in above the bed rails.
Since your truck has a 5-1/2 foot bed in order to tow a 5th wheel trailer and not hit the trailer and truck together when turning you will need to use a Sidewinder pin box on the trailer. To determine if there is a Sidewinder that will fit your trailer I would need to know the manufacturer and model number of the pin box. This information should be on a sticker or plate on the pin box itself. I have included a link to our Sidewinder information page to the right.
