Question:
I have a 2010 Prius and as a family of 4 we have 4 bikes. I have noticed their is a limit of 2 bikes for Class 1 hitches. Is there possibly a Class 2 hitch for a 2010 Prius, so that I can take advantage of a 4 bike rack? If there isnt a Class 2 2010 Prius hitch do you have any recommendations on how I can achieve carrying 4 bikes? Roof Rack?

There are ways to transport 4 bikes with your 2010 Toyota Prius, but the only trailer hitches available for your vehicle are Class I and as you mentioned, they have a 2 bike limit. You can use a hitch mount bike rack like the Swagman XTC-2 Bike Rack, # S64670, to carry two bikes, and I recommend carrying the other two bikes on the roof. I have attached a demonstration video of the XTC-2 on a Prius for you to check out. This is one of the top bike racks we carry for Class I trailer hitches.
The trailer hitch that I would recommend for your Prius is the Draw-Tite Class I Sportframe Hitch, # 24847. I have attached an installation video for this hitch.
To carry your other two bikes on the roof, you will need a roof rack and roof mount bike racks. The Rhino-Rack RS 2500 Roof Rack, # RRRS490, is a great economical roof rack with elliptical crossbars for reduced wind noise and drag. You have several different roof mount bike rack options. For a bike rack with all the bells and whistles, I recommend the Rhino-Rack Mountain Trailer Bike Rack, # RBC035. If you want something more economical, check out the Swagman Fork Down Bike Rack, # S64710.
I have attached demonstration videos of these bike racks. I have also attached links to all of the roof racks, trailer hitches and bike racks for you to check out.
