Are Additional Fittings Needed to Install Transmission Cooler on a 2008 Nissan Armada SE 5.6L
Published 08/07/2014 >
Question:
I like this external cooler and the price/value is excellent. Hoping this is the best fit for my 2008 Armada SE. I did see a note that said the transmission lines might not fit as this part requires 5/16th lines. Can you elaborate on my specific year/moddel Armada?

You should not have to worry about that warning since it is uncommon. The transmission cooler # D13611 comes with an Insta-dapt fitting that you can use to avoid have to flare the steel or aluminum lines. The worst case scenario is that you would have to flare the metal lines, if applicable.
If the lines are aluminum you can flare them with a Phillips screwdriver. Steel lines would require a flare tool which your local auto parts store should have. But I do not think that will be necessary for your 2008 Nissan Armada. I have linked a video review of this cooler for you and a link to our informational article on coolers.
