Transfer Tank and Tool Box Combo Fit for 2026 Ford F-250 with Gooseneck Hitch

Updated 11/06/2026 | Published 11/05/2026

Question:

Can you confirm for sure that this will fit a 2026 Ford F250? I just bought and took delivery of a DZ92656B that does not fit between the wheel wells of my truck. Also, can you confirm that it will fit with a standard ball hitch in the bed? Thank you.

Hello! The DeeZee # DZ92656 is the same size as the black # DZ92656B you purchased, so it wouldn't resolve your fitment issue.

Both measure 56-1/4" across the bed, 32-3/4" front to back, and 25-3/8" tall. They're listed for the 8' bed only, so I'm wondering if your F-250 has the shorter 6-3/4' bed?

If so, I recommend looking at the 92-gallon DeeZee # DZ92647 or the more compact 75-gallon UWS # UWS39XR. Both are listed to fit the shorter bed.

As for your gooseneck hitch, measure from the front bed wall back to the ball. The UWS extends 27" into the bed, while the DeeZee extends 32-3/4". We'll also need to account for clearance when turning with your trailer.

Can you confirm your bed length and how far the center of your gooseneck ball is from the front of the bed?

Andrew, thanks for your detailed answer… My truck bed is 82 inches long to the end of the bed before the Tailgate. The ball hitch is approximately 3 feet to the center of the ball from the back wall of the bed. Can you confirm that those models that you suggested will fit that bed? Also, I did not buy the first one from you. I don't think but you should know that your website says that the DZ92656 will fit a 2026 F250 Thank you! Jim

@JimL Hey Jim! Your measurements confirm you have the 6-3/4' short bed. The original DeeZee # DZ92656 and # DZ92656B are listed for the 8' bed, which explains the fitment issue. Both the 92-gallon DeeZee # DZ92647 and 75-gallon UWS # UWS39XR are listed to fit your shorter bed. The DeeZee extends 32-3/4" into the bed and stands 25-3/8" tall, while the UWS extends 27" back and stands 26-3/4" tall, excluding vent caps. With your gooseneck ball 36" from the front wall, that leaves 3-1/4" to the ball center with the DeeZee or 9" with the UWS. To verify clearance, measure from the truck bed floor to the underside of your trailer's gooseneck when coupled and level. You'll want at least 6" above the toolbox's highest point, including its vent cap. Also check that the trailer's front corners and gooseneck structure won't swing into the toolbox during tight turns. I'd lean toward the UWS for its shorter depth, but those clearance checks will help you make the final decision without any surprises!
