Question:
Looking at the B and W turnover ball kit for my f250 w/o prep pkg. Want to use a 5 offset ball like Gen Y has. Any idea why B and W doesnt offer one for their hitch?

Welcome back Jeffery. B&W offers something similar for their Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch item # BW73FR. It's the 4" Offset Ball item # BWGNXA4085. This 2-5/16" gooseneck ball is designed specifically for the B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch item # BW73FR. It will push the connection point back 4" towards your tailgate to provide you with some extra turning clearance.
The B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch item # BW73FR is the correct one for your 2026 Ford F-250. This gooseneck hitch is custom fit and includes all hardware necessary to complete installation on your truck.
To make towing with a gooseneck trailer easier, I recommend adding the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness item # C57008. This harness puts a 7-way connector in the bed of your F-250 and allows you to keep the one on your bumper. This makes hooking up to your gooseneck trailer easier and more convenient.
What kind of gooseneck trailer are you pulling? Feel free to answer this and throw in any other questions you have, where it says Add Comment.

The extension ball is perfect. There is a lot to be said for four extra inches. The truck clears the RV with the tailgate down, letting us get behind it when needed. We have a standard-size bed on our Ford F-250 Lariat.

Bought my first 5th wheel this past August and installed the turnover ball in a 2018 Chev 2500 standard bed (6 ft 10in) and the B & W pin box adapter on the rig. I use the the 4 inch offset ball. No issues. Happy with the configuration.

I've been using this hitch since I got my trailer 1.5 years ago. Have probably put close to 10k miles and love the hitch. It raises the camper an extra inch in addition to moving the trailer back. I use the GenY hitch. I drive 2022 f250. The hitch will reduce the overall hitch weight rating but my camper is still well under that rating.
