Are these the recommended to work with the Demco tabs DM86MV ? I have the alpha 2 tow bar

Hi Greg!

You can indeed use the Replacement Triple-Lug Brackets for Blue Ox Tow Bars # BX88154 with the Replacement Attachment Tabs for Demco Tabless or etrailer Invisible Base Plates - Qty 2 # DM86MV you purchased earlier. They will also fit your Alpha 2 tow bar as well. Two things to note though.

First, you will be using the pins from the # BX88154 to couple the two parts together (see the first image I have included) as the pins that came with the # DM86MV are not going to be long enough (see second image).

Second, the pins for the # BX88154 are a tight fit through the # DM86MV. I pulled these parts from our warehouse and when I tried to get the pin through (first image again), I did have to smack it against the work table they were on to get it through. Not very hard or anything, but just be aware you may need to do something similar the first few times you couple. It should get easier after that.

What vehicle are you flat towing and what RV are you using to flat tow it?
