Can You Fold a Soft Truck Topper Out of the Way on a 2024 Ford Ranger And Use A Tonneau Cover Too?

I have a 2024 Ford Ranger Lariat and I'm debating between a tonneau cover and a camper shell. I occasionally haul furniture and taller equipment, so I need something that wont get in the way. How easy is it to switch between the two?

Hey Ryan!

The Fas-Top Traveler # FT49MV gives you both! It combines a roll-up tonneau cover with a collapsible soft topper, so you can switch between them depending on what you're hauling.

The topper's aluminum X-frame folds into a storage sling in under a minute, allowing you to use the tonneau cover normally. It's not necessary, but if you want to you can remove the topper completely by releasing four corner latches and two pins, leaving the mounting rails in place. But it stays flush against the front of the bed when folded down, so you really shouldn't need to remove it completely.

Everything installs without drilling, and you won't need to remove the rails when switching configurations.
