Question:

Is there a Pintle hook adapter for a standard 2” weight distribution shank that is rated for more than 10k lbs? I am not trying to use distribution bars with it I just want to be able to use the adjustable shank. I have a Curt Dual Ball for 2” WD shank part C29NR that I love and would like to be able to do the same with a Pintle hook. I saw the Convert a Ball Pintle adapter part PA-1, but in addition to being unsure if it will fit a standard WD shank, it shows to only be rated for 10k lbs. I also saw the mount for the Rebellion XD shank part C79FR which would be great, but it does not appear to fit a standard 2” WD shank.

Hey Justin!

I think I found a setup that will work for what you're wanting to do!

The TorkLift Magnum Pintle Hook Mounting Plate # TLM9002 is rated for 20,000 lbs and has a 2" wide mounting channel with 2-1/2" spacing between the mounting bolts. Since standard weight distribution shanks are 2" wide with holes spaced 1-1/4" apart, this would line up with your existing shank.

You can then attach the Curt Pintle Hook # C48210, which is also rated for 20,000 lbs and is confirmed to fit the TorkLift mounting plate.

You are correct that the Curt Rebellion shank part is specifically for the Rebellion and wouldn't work.
