Are 7-Pin and 14-Pin EZ Connectors Compatible

Question:

I was looking at using EZ Connector’s 14 pin connector to integrate the backup camera connections into a single connector between truck and trailer. I want to have an adapter in case my trailer needs to be connected to a different truck. This part is basically what I’m looking for, but I cant see if the 14 pinEZ Connector is compatible with the 7 pin. I understand 7 connections would not be made and it would be my responsibility to wire the connector appropriately, but would the connectors mate? Thanks

EZ Connector Trailer Connector Adapter # 319-R7-51 is a 7-pin adapter which has a ground pin plus 6 other contacts to carry the various light, power and brake signals from the 7-way RV blade connector. Their similar Magnetic 14-Pin Trailer Connector # 319-S14-05-6 has a total of 14 contacts and 7 of these will line up with the 7 contacts in part # 319-R7-51. I confirmed this with my technical contact at EZ Connector.
