Hey Ozzy, thanks for reaching out. Yes, I can definitely help you with this. Here are the parts I recommend for flat towing your 2017 Lincoln Navigator:

- Blue Ox Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # BO74FR

- etrailer XHD Non-Binding Tow Bar for Blue Ox and Curt Base Plates - RV Mount - 2" Hitch - 10.5K # e67ZR

- Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles - 7-Way to 6-Way Coiled Adapter Cord # RM-15267

- Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo Flat Tow Brake System for RVs w/ Hydraulic Brakes - Proportional # SM99251

That will cover all the main flat tow components. You may end up needing a drop hitch like part # BLU28XR to compensate for any height differences between the base plate arms and the hitch on your RV. Any difference of more than 3" will require a drop hitch. Remember, if the drop hitch is used, Safety Cable Extensions # RM-910648-10 will be required. I also recommend grabbing a cover # e76FV and a hitch lock # e98881 to protect your tow bar.

For the tow hitch, the Curt Weld-On Hitch # C47CR is what I recommend. It has a 16K capacity so more than enough to tow your Navigator. It comes with adjustable flanges that can fit frames between 18" and 44" wide, so you'll definitely want to measure your frame and make sure it falls within that range. If not, just let me know and we can look at other options.

As far as installers, we do have a few in the Orlando FL area. I recommend checking with Automotive One in Longwood. They have experience doing flat tow installs. I've included the link to our installer locator for you below. You can enter your zip code and see the full list of installers nearest you.

Have you flat towed before? Or will this be your first time?

I purchased the Blue Ox Base plate kit for my 2017 Ford F150. I already had the tow bar but needed the base plates. After reading the instructions, I decided to install them myself. This installation was very simple. Unbolt the existing tow hooks and then bolt up the new base plates on the existing holes. It was also necessary to drill one additional hole on each plate install for an additional bolt. Total installation time was less than a half hour and could have been done faster but I was in no hurry. This installation is very simple, if you have a drill and a few wrenches and sockets it is a very easy job.

Also I love the Blue Ox tow bar. It is easy to connect up and disconnect. I’ve checked the base plates several times and have no loosing.
