Question:
I’m interested in the Fogatti AC unit with heat pump. I have a38’ fifth wheel. Coleman-Mach units currently, I think 12k. Is the Fogattiyour best quality units? Are they quieter than say the Furrion or new Coleman units and do they come with a thermostat or are they compatible with what I have?

Hey Steve, Fogatti units like the InstaCool RV part # FG85VR are really solid options but in terms of being the best the Furrion Chill Cubes like the part # FR97TQ are going to be quieter and blow colder. There isn't anything that will work with your current air box setup as there was a refrigerant law change in 2025 that made it so that the upper units no longer work with the lower units and everything needs to be replaced. Are you looking for the best of the best unit?

Yes, I am looking for American made and the Fogatti seemed like the perfect setup but the more I looked up the more I am looking more seriously at the Furrion Chill Cube with a heat pump. My biggest draw back in purchasing the Furrion is it is a Lippert product and I have to admit I have an aversion to the Lippert Corporation that arose out of my quest to replace a damaged cargo door and the price I got from them was astronomical to say the least
