Thanks for the information Richard. For a platform bike rack that fits a 1-1/4" receiver that works with wider tires, I recommend the Swagman Current Pro item # S65SR. This bike rack works with tires up to 5" wide and has a 60 lbs per bike capacity. The wheel trays include heavy duty straps and a buckle that allow you to clinch down on the tires.

The Swagman Current Pro item # S65SR uses locking ratchet hooks with padding to secure your bike by the frame. This mounting style is great for bikes that have fenders because you don't have to worry about damaging them. The rack can also be tilted down and away with or without the bikes loaded up so you can access your trunk or rear cargo area.

To help with loading and unloading your bikes, I recommend the Swagman Ramp and Bridge for Swagman Current Bike Racks item # S32YR.

What kind of bikes do you have and what vehicle are you hauling them around with? Feel free to answer this and throw in any other questions you have, where it says Add Comment.
