Hi Rob!
Yes, you’ll want to pick up butyl tape, part # DC38SR, and self leveling sealant, part # DC94SR, to complete the installation of your additional solar panel part # GP76AR. The butyl tape helps seal underneath the mounting feet, while the self leveling sealant seals around the mounting points to help keep water from getting into your RV’s roof.
For adding a second 200W panel to your Grand Design, your existing 30A solar controller should be able to handle the additional panel, provided the combined output stays within the controller’s limits. The kit includes the branch connectors needed to wire the new panel in parallel with your existing panel, along with the mounting hardware.
How long do you typically camp off grid at a time?

Thank you. Yes, the combined output is within the charger's specs. It is more of a question if the panels are an exact match. This seems to be a thing. Nonetheless, I purchased the kit from you and already installed the panel. To your question of how long I am off grid...all the time. The combined output is 400w and the 200ah lithium recover every day with 200w, in a few hours of sun. This extra panel is insurance, if you will. One note: the brackets are interesting. The panel comes with machined threaded holes on the side, but the brackets are used with nuts and attached to the bottom. Not sure why they would not use the threads on the side. Thank you,
